You are in complete control. By managing your phone's call forwarding settings, you decide exactly when Mikla answers for you. Your business number stays the same; Mikla simply works in the background to ensure no call goes unanswered.

🔍 What Is Call Forwarding?

Call forwarding is a standard phone feature that automatically redirects your incoming calls to another number—in this case, your unique Mikla number. Your customers continue to call your existing business number, and Mikla answers the call seamlessly.

🔁 Types of Call Forwarding

Unconditional Forwarding: Forwards all calls to Mikla, instantly. Your phone won't ring at all.

Conditional Forwarding: Forwards calls only in specific situations:

• If Busy: When you're already on another call.
• If No Answer: When you don't pick up after a set number of rings.
• If Unreachable: When your phone is off, in airplane mode, or has no signal.

⚠️ Important: To use multiple conditions (e.g., both "Busy" and "No Answer"), you must set up each one separately with its unique code. Not all carriers support conditional forwarding.

📵 CRITICAL FIRST STEP: Disable Your Phone's Answering Features

To ensure calls are forwarded correctly—especially when you don't answer—you must turn off any feature on your device that might "answer" the call before Mikla can.

iPhone Users: Turn Off Live Voicemail

1. Go to Settings > Phone.
2. Tap Live Voicemail.
3. Toggle it Off.

Android Users (especially Google Pixel): Turn Off Call Screen

1. Open the Phone app.
2. Tap the three-dot menu and go to Settings.
3. Tap Spam and Call Screen.
4. Ensure automatic screening is disabled or set to "Ring phone (default)."

Most mobile carriers use simple dial codes to manage forwarding.

To Activate:

1. Open your phone's dialer app.
2. Enter the activation code followed by your Mikla number (e.g., **21*1234567890#).
3. Press the Call button. You should get a confirmation.
4. Always make a test call from a different phone to confirm it's working.

To Deactivate:

• All Forwarding: Dial your carrier's universal cancel code, like ##21# or *73.
• Specific Conditions (GSM Networks like AT&T/T-Mobile):
  • ##67# (disables forwarding when busy)
  • ##61# (disables forwarding when no answer)
  • ##62# (disables forwarding when unreachable)

Conditional: In Call flow, scroll to Unanswered calls and set Forward to another number. You can also create rules for business hours.

To Disable: Return to your Call flow settings and remove the forwarding rule.

Google Voice

You must link and verify your Mikla number first.

1. In Mikla Admin: Go to Account > Account Settings and enable the "Call Forwarding Verification - SMS authentication code" toggle.
2. In Google Voice: Go to Settings > Account > Linked numbers and click New linked number.
3. Enter your Mikla number and click Send code.
4. In Mikla Admin: Go to Account Settings and click View text messages to get the verification code.
5. Enter the code in Google Voice to verify.
6. Go to Google Voice Settings > Calls > Call Forwarding and ensure your Mikla number is toggled on.
7. IMPORTANT: Return to Mikla Admin and disable the verification code toggle when finished.

Notes: Google Voice only supports unconditional forwarding.
