- We use a small set of cookies for security, site analytics, and remembering your preferences.
- No ad-tracking pixels.
- You can change your choices any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. They let us remember things like whether you're signed in, which page you came from, and what plan you were comparing. We also use similar technologies, local storage, pixels, collectively referred to in this policy as "cookies".
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site and product to work: authentication, CSRF protection, load balancing. Cannot be turned off.
- Preferences. Remember UI choices like theme or last-viewed solution page.
- Analytics. Help us understand what's popular and what's broken. Aggregated; no ad profiles.
- Marketing. Only enabled if you opt in: limited conversion attribution for our ads (LinkedIn, Google). Off by default in the EEA/UK.
3. Specific cookies
Representative list (exact names may change):
mikla_session (Necessary). Authenticated session. Duration: Session.
mikla_csrf (Necessary). Cross-site request forgery protection. Duration: Session.
mikla_prefs (Preferences). UI preferences. Duration: 1 year.
_ga (Analytics). Google Analytics 4 client ID. Duration: 2 years.
_pp (Analytics). Page-path aggregation. Duration: 1 year.
li_fat_id (Marketing, opt-in). LinkedIn conversion attribution. Duration: 30 days.
4. Third-party cookies
A few of our processors set their own cookies. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics. Product analytics.
- Intercom. In-app chat.
- Stripe. Billing + fraud prevention.
- LinkedIn / Google Ads. Conversion attribution (opt-in).
5. Your choices
- Cookie preferences. Change any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer. Choices persist per-browser.
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies at the OS level. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break the site.
- EEA/UK visitors. Non-essential cookies are opt-in and off by default. No banner fatigue: one prompt, your choice is remembered.
6. Do Not Track
There is no consistent industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as opt-outs of sale/share where applicable. DNT headers are not currently honored as opt-outs.
7. Changes
If our cookie usage changes materially, we'll update this page and bump the version. Check the "Last updated" date above.
