How it works

Three steps, under a minute.

    Pick your carrier

    Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Comcast Business, or your iPhone, Android, Google Voice or RingCentral settings.

  2. 2

    Choose what to forward

    All calls, or only when you’re busy, don’t answer or have no signal. Type the number to send calls to.

  3. 3

    Dial the code

    Tap to dial or copy the code. We also show the code that turns it off again.

How to forward Google Voice calls

  • On a computer, go to voice.google.com and open Settings.
  • Under Account, find Linked numbers and click New linked number. Enter the number and verify it with the code Google sends by text (or by call for a landline).
  • Under Calls, turn on Call forwarding for each linked number you want to ring.
  • On Android, the same setting is under Menu, Settings, Account, Devices and numbers.

Custom forwarding rules

Google Voice can forward calls differently by contact. On a computer, go to Settings, Calls, Custom call forwarding, and create a rule. You can link up to 6 numbers, and a number can only be linked to one Google Voice account.

Good to know

  • Google says forwarding your Google Voice number to an automated system isn’t supported.
  • To turn forwarding off, go to Settings, Calls, and switch off Call forwarding for the linked numbers you don’t want to ring.
  • Your carrier phone can also send missed calls to Google Voice voicemail with conditional forwarding codes, like *71 on Verizon.
